What is The Witches Walk?
The Witches Walk is a family-friendly community event that brings people together to raise awareness of domestic and family violence and show support for individuals and families affected by abuse.
Participants of all ages are invited to dress as witches, wizards, magical creatures, or anything their imagination inspires. The group walk will depart from Stepping Stones Crisis Society, travel through downtown Cold Lake, and return to the Stepping Stones facility. By walking together through the community, participants help increase visibility, encourage conversation, and demonstrate that those experiencing violence are not alone.
The evening will also include a dance, vendor market, photo booth, refreshments, and other activities. Funds raised will support Stepping Stones’ shelter, crisis intervention, education, and other services for individuals and families rebuilding their lives free from violence.
