- $50 – Provides food and lodging for one night for a woman in crisis.
- $100 – Supports food and lodging for one night for a woman with one child.
- $400 – Covers the average shelter stay for one woman in crisis.
- $800 – Covers the average shelter stay for one woman with one child.
- $1,200 – Supports the average shelter stay for a woman with two children.
- $25 per month – Provides basic necessities for a family in the emergency shelter.
- $40 per month – Ensures 40 years of crisis support services in our community.
- $50 per month – Helps cover the cost of educational presentations on healthy relationships.
- $100 per month – Sustains our 24/7 helpline, available to all in need.
Ways to Make a Difference
Cash Donations
Cash donations are immediately used to support women and children through food, shelter, counseling, and essential items. Cash contributions allow us to respond quickly to immediate needs, ensuring our shelter program can operate effectively and consistently serve those in crisis.
In-Kind Donations
In addition to monetary donations, in-kind gifts are always welcomed and gratefully appreciated. We respectfully accept new items only at the shelter, but gently used items are accepted at our Orbiting Trends thrift store. Your contributions help create a warm, supportive environment for families in crisis.
Recurring Donations
Consider setting up a recurring donation to provide sustained support for families in crisis. Monthly or annual giving ensures continuous access to safe shelter, counselling, and other crucial services.
High-Priority Needs
Here are some of the items we currently need to help families meet daily needs and feel comfortable in their temporary home. Your thoughtful donations bring comfort and dignity to those we serve.
- Toiletries: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors
- Clothing: New socks, pajamas (all sizes), seasonal clothing, children’s clothing
- Household Items: Bedding, towels, small kitchen appliances, pots, pans, utensils
- Children’s Items: Diapers, wipes, formula, educational toys, storybooks
- Self-Care Items: Makeup samples, face masks, journals, stress-relief items
