What is Walk a Mile in Their Shoes?
They say, “You can’t truly know a person’s experience unless you walk a mile in their shoes.” Walk a Mile in Their Shoes is a men’s march designed to raise awareness of gender-based violence and support Stepping Stones Crisis Society’s mission to provide safety, advocacy, and resources for survivors. Participants—primarily men—don red high heels to symbolically step into the experience of those impacted by domestic violence.
This empowering event is more than a fundraiser—it’s a community statement that domestic and gender-based violence have no place in Cold Lake, Bonnyville, or anywhere.
Key Highlights:
Wear red high heels and walk a mile for awareness.
Raise funds to support shelter services, outreach programs, and advocacy efforts.
Engage with the community and take a stand against violence.
