Joie's Phoenix House
Our Second Stage Program, Joie’s Phoenix House (JPH), offers support to clients fleeing intimate partner violence in their quest for independent living. This program provides a safe and supportive environment with wrap-around services that allows the client to focus on healing and reaching their individual and familial goals. Our Family Support Workers offer safety, support, advocacy, information, referrals, childcare, and a variety of other supports based on the needs and goals of our clients.
Our goal is to increase the awareness of the impact that family violence has on families and provide access to all available community resources. We provide information and help families explore themes of “relationships, self-esteem, helpful communication, and positive coping strategies. By educating and teaching skills in parenting and the effects that family violence has on children, we hope to increase positive coping skills for children that are dealing with the effects of family violence and in turn to increase their self-worth and understanding of healthy family relationships.
JPH includes six self-contained fully furnished 2-bedroom or 3-bedroom suites, convenient access to schools and playgrounds, and other essential services.
