Receptionist

We are looking to hire a Receptionist to join our team at Stepping Stones Crisis Society. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and stakeholders, helping ensure smooth office operations while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and confidentiality.
Duties:
• Greet and welcome clients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and care.
• Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
• Manage mail, courier services, and deliveries.
• Update and maintain records, contact lists, and schedules.
• Assist with booking appointments, meetings, and conference spaces.
• Provide general administrative support to the Office Manager and team.
• Restock office supplies and track inventory.
• Support data entry and maintain digital/physical files.
• Monitor front entrance security, visitor check-ins, and handoff to Security Specialist.
The ideal candidate would:
• Hold a high school diploma (Office Administration diploma is an asset).
• Have 1–2 years’ experience in reception or administrative support (nonprofit/social services experience an asset).
• Be professional, compassionate, and skilled at client interaction.
• Have strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
• Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks.
• Hold a valid Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check.
• First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
